Welcome to the club

The Eaton Eagle Athletic Booster Club is a non-profit organization that has encouraged parent and community participation and support the football programs at V.R. Eaton High School since its opening in 2015.

Through memberships, volunteers, and our corporate sponsors, EHSBC raises thousands of dollars each year in support of our student-athletes.  Oh, and we have a lot of fun, too!

Welcome Eaton Family!

VR Eaton opened its doors in August of 2015. Creating traditions and a culture of winning were our top priorities. Both coaches and players took their share of lumps in the early years but did so with their heads held high and with class. They started "Building a Monster". The founders "Built the Monster" brick by brick with hard work, grit, and integrity. They laid these pillars for the program and created the foundation of a winning program the right way.

The story of Eaton Football is the story of overcoming challenges and the Eagles have faced many along the way. In the first year, the school opened with only freshmen and sophomores. The following year, Eaton played its first varsity season without seniors. In Texas, there has not been a brand new high school to make the playoffs without a senior class. Eaton was nearly the first to do so. They finished the first year tied for 4th place and missed the playoffs on the tiebreaker rules.

The following year, with its first senior class, your Eagles qualified for the playoffs as the number one seed in the large school division and won its first-ever playoff game in the Bi-District round.

The next year was a realignment year. Eaton moved up to 6A and was the smallest 6A school in Texas. Though they struggled, they finished one game out of the playoffs 2 years in a row.

After getting their feet wet in the big leagues, Eaton made its best run in school history as it pushed to the third round of the playoffs. The 2020 football team was district runner-up and won two playoff games on its way to the regional semifinals where they fell to Prosper. The 2020 Eaton football team was the best and most successful team in Northwest lSD history.

The 2021 team continued that success and had an 8-3 team that finished the year as the district runner-up, the Geico state team of the week, and the Small School's number-one seed going into the playoffs.

The football team of 2022 had its highs and lows. The team again finished the season tied for fourth and just missed out on the playoffs.

In Eaton's short history, we have had three playoff appearances and three wins. We have sent 11 players to play football at the Division 1 level, 5 of which went to a Power 5 program. We have also sent 57 other players to play football at the collegiate level.

Only 21 games have been lost on our sub-varsity field in eight years by all teams combined. We currently have 370 football players in our program, which continues to grow.

Eaton Football has a history of excellence and this history will continue for many years.
